Grace For Today: Reclaiming Your Time
After circling the store for 20 minutes, I came across the perfect canvas for my mantel. The sparkly gold shimmer on the edges of the leaves left me struck. But there was one problem that turned out to be a deal breaker.
It had a smudge.
Did you start today feeling wonderfully, but then encounter a smudge… a sluggish mood, a cluttered inbox, a grumpy family member?
Don’t worry, because God can put you back in sync with the purposeful day he has planned for you.
“In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.” (Psalm 5:3 NIV)
Judging by his phrase, “In the morning,” it sounds like David had a daily prayer. He knew he’d probably be faced with challenging situations or difficult people, and decided to proactively put his trust in God!
We can do the same. Take time this morning to move past the smudge in your day, and ask God for a grace that will empower your mood and progress.
