a girl pondering life’s purpose

Faith is the foundation of everything God wants us to do.

Let’s start with a question: Would you feel comfortable getting on a plane after overhearing the pilot say, I’m not sure that I can fly this…‍ ‍

I’m sure that your answer is a resounding, No, and I would never recommend it. When it comes to life, trust is everything.

Every day of our lives, Jesus invites us to let go of our anxiety and trust that he is everything the Bible says he is - The Prince of Peace, The Healer, The Savior, The Comforter and even Our Friend.

This is true faith in God.

What does God want me to do everyday as a Christian?

Even after we’ve given our hearts to Jesus, he wants us to simply trust him everyday. As we walk with him, he will lead us towards interests and areas where we can impact the lives of others using our spiriutal gifts.

As we seek God in these areas, we can do so with the faith that God loves us and is pleased with us. He is never trying to trick us or make it hard.

Trust that God’s word has the answers you need and that he created you to do something remarkable.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Consider what God is truly asking you to do as a Christian by embracing his Spirit each day.

Is God asking you to become a voice of influence, or is he asking you to play a game with your children as you help shape their characters on a Saturday afternnoon?

Whatever action God may be leading you to, he wants us to do it out of love for him, love for others, and love for who he made you to be.

Remaining open for God’s daily guidance is true faith in action.

Today’s Reflection for Living with Purpose

Luke 18:8 tells us what Jesus will be looking for when he returns. It won’t be the person who did the most or had the most. It will be the ones that are living in faith.

If your life could talk, what areas would it say you are trusting God in fully right now? Which areas do you still need to surrender to God?

Take a chance with God today, so that you can truly enjoy all that he has for you and so that you can start living life out of the box.
